Data Conversion

We at Synergy understand the problems that sometimes occur when evidence is served in a format which is either unsuitable, unusable or requires the purchase of specialist software.

Problems can occur when evidence is supplied in this way, it not only slows down it’s consideration but it causes further problems when providing clients and Counsel with copies.

One particular example of this would be if extracts of telephone conversations between an insurance company and its customers.

Due to the vast amount of conversations that take place on a day to day basis within large organisations, it is now common practice to store these recordings in a .MP3 file format (compressed sound file).

Synergy would be in a position to convert these recordings into a format which could be examined by simply putting a CD into any player, without the need for .mp3 facilities.

Other popular conversion methods include:

• Conversion of material originally stored in a format which would require the purchase of software and training, into a product already available to the customer.
• Conversation of media (sound and movie files) into a usable format
• Text files converted into more recognised format.
• Scanned documents being changed into a format which can be viewed with a more widely available product
• Conversion of VHS Video tape into a digital format, which is contained on a compact disk enabling the recording to be viewed on either a Personal Computer or Multi Region DVD player.
